At Apples fall event, they announced that they would be adding over the counter hearing aid capabilities to the Apple AirPods Pro 2. Apple have created a clinical approved hearing test that customises the AirPods to your specific hearing needs. The AirPods Pro 2 have been out for a couple of years now, and this feature is being made available to all existing owners and new owners of the AirPods Pro 2.

In addition to features to enhance your hearing, they are also implementing additional features to protect your hearing. One such feature filters out loud and potentially damaging sounds automatically.

Many people are self-conscious about wearing hearing aids, there is concern over style and being different to others. Being able to use AirPods Pro 2 allows you to look like everyone else while getting the benefi tof enhanced hearing. I can see these being very popular with young adults who are wanting to blend in. 

While Apple are doing a fantastic job of putting technology that improves health into the reach of consumers, the bigger win here, is the raised awareness and acceptance oof needing and wearing hearing aids.
