Friendship knows no boundaries—not of geography, background, or belief. It’s built on showing up, being present, and standing beside one another through every twist and turn. When I think about the people who’ve lifted me up, made me laugh, and kept me grounded, I think of the friend from work who always knows when I need a boost, the friend from school who’s been there through every awkward and amazing phase, my sisters and mom who just get me. And then there’s my husband—my partner in everything, and the most steadfast friend I could ever hope for, walking beside me through life’s ups and downs.

International Day of Friendship is more than a feel-good moment—it’s a global reminder of the role connection plays in building a kinder, more peaceful world. The United Nations created this day to inspire unity, compassion, and understanding across cultures. And it starts with the little things—sending a thoughtful message, making time for someone who needs it, or simply saying “I appreciate you.”

So today, I’m celebrating the friends who’ve shaped my life and the unexpected bonds that have become unbreakable. Because friendship isn’t just about who’s there in the big moments—it’s about how we show up for each other, every day.

Happy International Day of Friendship—to those who feel like home, and to those who remind us what connection is all about. 💛
