National Sovereignty and Children's Day (Ulusal Egemenlik ve Çocuk Bayramı) is a national holiday in Turkey, always celebrated on 23rd April. (more information)
On May 1, 2021, Intertek Turkey held its eighth National Sovereignty and Children's Day event which year was held virtually. Our BBEB event, themed ‘Our friends who live in the air, land and water’ was also a great way to spend time with family members, colleagues and friends while enjoying live music, storytelling, and games. The sessions were conducted by the subject matter instructors and our Sustainability Solutions Business Development Manager – Yeliz Hacihaliloglu who supported us voluntarily. Through fun interactive activities, our children learnt how to protect the environment for a more sustainable future. We were more than happy and proud to see our children contributing to our event with their comments and interest on the subject, as well as their paintings to express their vision of a built back ever better world. It was such a great and positive encouragement for the children and their parents.
