The most valuable possession I own is a jar of marbles

Since I was a kid, my Dad had never been super healthy. We always feared his life would be cut short, which unfortunately it was however due to this realization early on, our family was adamant to make and remember every happy memory. To do that, we started a family keepsake where every time we had a great day together or one of us had something big happen we would add a marble to the jar. We were blessed to have many jars fill up over the years and they sit in mine and my sisters  windows in our own homes catching the light from outside. Now that we are all grown and have our own families, we continue the tradition. Telling our kids about our happy times growing up but also making new memories as we go forward. This morning, the sun is shining bright and as I came downstairs the room was flooded with color. It was beautiful but it is also a reminder that the most valuable possession I own is a jar of marbles, not the material things that fill our house. My heart is full today, hope yours is too.
