External recognition for Intertek's commitment to Sustainability

We are delighted to announce that that MSCI – one of the key ESG ratings agencies – has upgraded Intertek’s score to its highest “AAA” rating. This external recognition of our commitment to Sustainability and in particular, our performance in governance, data privacy and security, as well as our people and our communities, provides customers with further evidence that Intertek can be a trusted partner on their own sustainability journeys.

MSCI ESG Ratings aim to measure a company's resilience to long-term, industry material, environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks. Companies are scored on an industry-relative AAA-CCC scale across the most relevant Key Issues based on a company's business model. Key issues include human capital developments, carbon emissions, privacy & data security, and governance. MSCI uses a rules-based methodology to identify industry leaders and laggards according to their exposure to ESG risks and how well they manage those risks relative to peers. Their ESG Ratings range from leader (AAA, AA), average (A, BBB, BB) to laggard (B, CCC).
