“The World Thinking Day celebrates the friendship, sisterhood, and empowerment of girls and young women everywhere. It promotes gender equality and raises awareness of global issues”
Did you celebrate World Thinking Day last week? To be honest, I had not heard of it but after a bit of research I learned that it is an annual event celebrated by Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world. It falls on February 22nd and serves as an opportunity for members of these organizations to reflect on global issues, promote peace, and celebrate international friendship.
World Thinking Day activities typically involve learning about different cultures, exploring global challenges, and taking action to make a positive difference in the world. The day also commemorates the joint birthdays of Lord Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of the Boy Scouts movement, and his wife Olave Baden-Powell, who was instrumental in the development of the Girl Guides. The day serves as a reminder of the importance of global citizenship, empathy, and solidarity among young people worldwide.
World Thinking Day is marked every year on February 22 to celebrate friendship, sisterhood, and empowerment of women. The younger generation of women hold massive potential and through fellowship, sisterhood and strengthening, we can open their true capacity and assist them with breaking the glass barriers and clear their path for the sky.
