Is it fair to assume that one day, rather than sending inspectors halfway around the world to review or audit a product, we can inspect its digital twin instead? I mean, if we already review and accept schematics and technical drawings for certain things, it would make sense that diving into the Industrial Metaverse to review the digital version of a product would be acceptable. I guess we'll have to see what the accreditors say about that.
The building blocks of the industrial metaverse are “digital twins”—real-time, continuously updated virtual representations of real-world products and processes such as a factory floor or new electric vehicle on the digital drawing board.
