I know work can be demanding. There can be pressure from customer requests, assignments from managers, support tasks for your team, etc. It can feel like a lot sometimes. Hopefully you're managing your time and your mental health so that you can perform at your peak AND have some fun along the way.

A recent Pew study found that 46% of employees with paid time off don’t take all of it, and almost half of those said the reason was they feared falling behind. At the end of 2021, Americans with paid time off left an average of almost two weeks of vacation days on the table. And when they do take vacation, half or more work at least part of the time anyway.

Whether you go far away or stay close to home, dive into the ocean or into a good book, the point is that this is YOUR time. Make it about you and the things that bring you happiness.

So that's really it. No deep or profound thoughts on innovation or leadership or technology or sustainability or creativity. Just a reminder to take care of your mind and body first. No one else can do that for you.
