Kids today (like every new generation, I suppose) are often painted with a broad brush. They are lazy… they are entitled… they are isolated… they spend too much time on their phones and not in real life…
Here's an example of a “Gen-Z” kid who is making the most of his passion and intelligence along with the extraordinary advancements in science and technology that has molded him.
I'm continually amazed at what these kids discover and promote, and I know that the world is going to be a better place in the future because of what they aspire to do and become.
They are, after all, 100% of the future.
And many thanks to 3M for offering this “Young Scientist Challenge” every year. As the winner, Heman receives $25,000 as a prize. In all, 3M gives out nearly $50,000 in prize money to the ten finalists of the annual competition.
“It has multiple ingredients in it that are low-cost and very affordable, making it accessible and equitable to as many people as possible, because that is the main aspect of this bar of soap,” Bekele said. “Not only that it can cure skin cancer, but that it can be as accessible as possible to as many people as possible.”
