‘Great to see’: Victoria crowned Canada’s most vegan-friendly city

Victoria, a picturesque city on Canada's west coast, has been crowned the country's most vegan-friendly city. With a thriving plant-based food scene, Victoria offers an array of vegan options that cater to diverse tastes. From vegan cafes and restaurants to farmers' markets overflowing with fresh produce, it's a haven for those embracing a cruelty-free lifestyle. This recognition not only celebrates the city's commitment to sustainability and animal welfare but also reflects the growing global trend towards plant-based living. Victoria's vibrant vegan community is a testament to positive change, making it a must-visit destination for conscious eaters.

“It’s great to see Victoria getting recognition for all the great vegan places we have. I think one of the things that makes Victoria a good city from a vegan perspective is that it’s easy to get around to all the places,” said Jordan Reichert with the Vancouver Island Vegan Association (VIVA).
