I came across this interesting article that lists top 20 most disabled-friendly countries but at the same time talks about the fiscal impact for businesses that aren't providing accessible products and services.

If you have read any of my other posts, you will know that I passionately believe that companies that focus on accessibility and inclusion will outperform companies that don't. We see this with the likes of Apple and Microsoft, both are focused on diversity and inclusion.

The top 20 countries list provides plenty to reflect on, with the UK ranked 13 below Thailand and Brazil. It's unclear if the ranking reflects the views of the disabled communities within the countries, however, I can say that there is significant improvement needed within the UK, and therefore 13 could be right.

There are many regulations being drafted and implemented globally to improve inclusion, sure of the European Accessibility Act. Now is the time for businesses to focus on accessibility and gain advantage over their competitors.
