As a person with severe sight impairment, I constantly come across the perception that I shouldn't be working, I can't have a family and my life must be terrible. All of which are completely incorrect. so, when I see articles like this, showing how a person who is blind is working in an environment that I would find extremely difficult, I feel I need to share and show that the limits you may think exist are the limits you set for people with sight loss, but are not really limits, you just don't know how someone could ever do a task without sight. We are extremely resourceful and find different ways to do things.

Many employers struggle to understand how someone with disabilities coulld possibly fit into their organisation, yet we can see how Amy flourished in a hostile environment. What possible excuses can we have as employers not to support disabled candidates? What talent are we missing because of this predjutice. It's time for us to open our minds and let go of the barriers we create for people with disabilities.
