When buying a product as a blind person, I need to check that it will be accessible to me. Apple are leading the pack, I know that I can pick up any product and service and know it has accessibility built in, whether it is for me with my vision loss or a family member with hearing loss.
This has lead to Apple being mine, and many others first port of call in the disability community. After Applie's recent earnings call, it is clear that this plays into their long term success as a company.
As companies build back ever better, there is an opporunity for accessibility to become a corner stone of their products and services.
Benjamin Franklin famously quipped there are two certainties in life: death and taxes. Add a third: Every Apple product, whether tangible or digital, will have accessibility built in. It is a certainty the company conceives, develops, and introduces new hardware (and software) with the disability community in mind.
