A Baby Boom for Orca and Humpback Whales

There were 1,067 unique sightings of Bigg’s killer whales last year — up from the 2019 record of 747

It's so great to hear some good news. I pay attention to and share information on some of the amazing human innovations and inventions that can help to solve problems that our global community faces. One problem we've faced over the past century is the decline and extinction of many species. I'm sure that there have been many initiatives put forth to help the Canadian whale populations. 

This article speaks to the recent observations indicating a record-breaking year for orca and humpback whales in the southern waters off of Vancouver Island BC.
