Intertek Bangladesh extended support to underprivileged people to stay warm this winter

The northern part of Bangladesh is experiencing the winter cold, as it does every year. Those on low incomes, underprivileged are the worst affected by the cold weather because they lack clothes. Children and elderly people all over the country are prone to diseases such as pneumonia.

Intertek Bangladesh took the initiative in helping underprivileged people in Dhobaura Upazila in Mymensingh district where the winter is particularly harsh this year. Our volunteers helped to procure 250 blankets and face masks and travelled around to this remote place which is around 170 km away from Dhaka city.

This week's weather condition in Bangladesh gives an impression that the winter is gone but meteorologists said a mild cold wave may hit the country at the end of this month. Considering this, everyone should extend support with warm clothes and food to alleviate the winter sufferings of underprivileged and homeless people.
