Back in 2014, an inclusion program called "zLinks" was created at Zeelend West High School in Michigan, USA. The idea behind creating this program was "a peer-to-peer program that seeks to provide meaningful connections". That meant connecting students of all backgrounds and abilities with one another and giving everyone more opportunities to experience things they wouldn't normally be able to. From this program their "Unified" basketball games were created and what started as a single High School event and game, has now expanded to almost 10 area schools and into their own league!

It is so encouraging to live in a community that prioritizes inclusion and acceptance, and accepting everyone no matter who they are, what their abilities may be or where they might have come from.
