The internet is already fractured and divided. Information that's accessible in some parts of the world are not accessible in others. Some would argue that certain cultures have too much information and influence available to people; others would scoff at the notion of "too much anything".

It's not a matter of knowing what's the right amount of information sharing, but rather keeping an eye on when certain cultures or regions appear to be lagging behind in knowledge and education. That's when it gets dangerous because the people in power will be able control what you know and don't know. And we've seen throughout history that a system like that is destined to fail and its citizens will suffer.
