I'm glad the advancements in science (biology, botany) have come so far that we're even able to consider such possibilities as bringing back lost species of plants and other living things, but there's a bit of a "Jurassic Park" feeling to this, isn't there?

I mean who wouldn't want to bring back Degener’s peperomia, Peperomia degeneri, and have yet another option of pepper seasoning? And there's not much chance that the pepper takes over an island and tries to kill everyone on the island, right? RIGHT?!?!

Like many great advancements in science, there is a moral and ethical question of "just because we can do it, should we do it?" Fortunately, it's not for me to answer. I'm curious to know what others think about this.
