This video is very touching, as I know from a visually impaired perspective, how special it is to be able to read your children bedtime stories and what it is like when that basic pleasure of being a parent is taken away from you. Apple provides features to assist a wide range of disabilities, and this latest feature expands the positive impact technology can have on disabled people.

The organisation supports individuals with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), another progressive condition which causes speech loss in 1 of every 3 individuals diagnosed. “Our voices are part of our identity,” says Casey, “When diseases like ALS threaten to take away the ability to speak, tools like Personal Voice can help anyone continue to sound like their unique, authentic self.”
