Learning to Just Say No to Unwanted Holiday Invitations Can Benefit Your Mental Health–New Study

A new study highlighted on Good News Network sheds light on a powerful yet often overlooked aspect of mental health during the holiday season – the art of saying "no" to unwanted invitations. Research suggests that setting boundaries and declining social engagements that don't align with your well-being can significantly benefit your mental health. It's a reminder that self-care and personal boundaries are essential, especially during the holidays when social pressures can be overwhelming. Embracing the freedom to prioritize your mental well-being by politely declining unsuitable invitations is an act of self-compassion and self-preservation.

Take care of yourself this season!

More than three-quarters of people in a survey confessed to accepting an invitation to an activity they did not want to attend because they were concerned about the consequences of declining.
