Self ID Resource Guide Published by The Valuable 500 - Disability Inclusion

The Valuable 500 has recently published a Self-ID Resource Guide to help organisations collect and use disability data. The guide provides insights, tools, and recommendations on how to implement and improve Self-ID processes in the workplace. It covers the fundamentals of Self-ID, the psychology and characteristics of disability identity, the legal and ethical considerations, and the success factors for implementation.

The guide also includes perspectives and experiences from disabled employees, entrepreneurs, and advocates who share their insights on Self-ID and disability inclusion. I am humbled to be included in the guide and share my lived experience to further the conversation.

The guide is an invitation to start where you are and learn from others who are on the same journey. Don’t miss this opportunity to join the global movement to end disability exclusion and create cultures of trust in your organisation. Read the Self-ID Resource Guide today (also available in audio - Audiobook of Self-ID Resource Guide)

A key goal of this resource guide is to make the case for moving beyond a singular focus in disability inclusion as a DEI construct and operationalising disability inclusion. The resource guide invites you to start wherever you are on your journey and acknowledges that many other organisations are in the same position.
