A colleague shared this film created by the BBC to show a day in the life of someone who is Neurodiverse. The film uses a computer game style to show the level of energy as a person enters the office for work and continues throughout their day. 

The film provided me with a broader understanding of the challenges and barriers of someone with Neurodiversity. For example, beeping in the lobby is annoying for most people, but for some it completely drains their energy. Making an improvement to this situation would benefit all. We must remember that this is just one person's experience and we each have our own experiences.

I will be taking time to reflect on my interactions with colleagues and try to identify changes that I can make to minimise the barriers they face.
