P&G launched the new Tide Evo Tiles at the SXSW 2024 event. Based on over a decade of research and development, the new tiles are moving away from the liquid-based pods to reduce environmental impact. The new tiles are packaged in recyclable paper in favour of dissolvable pods which contribute to water pollution. Tide Tiles are lighter than pods and liquids reducing the cost and environmental impact of transportation, key with the increased home delivery trends.
“We expect Tide evo to attract a broad set of consumers,” said Sundar Raman, the executive who heads P&G’s Fabric & Home Care business. He said it could appeal to those looking to save time on laundry day or those who want products with reduced packaging. The dry format also appeals to consumers with an aversion to accidental detergent leakage in cupboards at home, company representatives said.
