Today marks our two year anniversary with our milkman Kevin! I stopped today to think about our routine of having milk delivered throughout the week, the characteristic early morning clinking of the glass bottles he leaves for us and our neighbours, and my Sunday routine of putting out the empty bottles for collection. There is an unexpected joy in this old world traditon that I have come to love.

We as a young family have a delivery schedule of 9 pints a week which is a mix of dairy and plant based milk and today it occurred to me that over the course of 2 years, we have avoided using 936 plastic bottles just by opting in to something that is convenient for us as a family. Small changes like this are easy to implement and have the benefit of more human interactions in our busy lives. I encourage everyone to find a Kevin!
