Build Back Ever Better: Hong Kong’s STEM day in a Kindergarten...after the long closure!

22nd April, 2021

My team and I have been engaging in STEM education in the past 3 years and during the lockdown, we also tried to put on some STEM materials along with the help of our customers online. We hope that we can contribute our energy and knowledge to the young generate and so they know that they can still learn while not being at campus.

After the long closure of Hong Kong schools, we could not wait but to have again our knowledge transfer about STEM and sustainability to the children.

We therefore initiated a STEM Day at a local kindergarten after the re-opening of school.

I hope we can have some knowledge transfer about STEM and sustainability to the children.

We brought along the toy sets with our STEM Toy Mark to a kindergarten.  Played with 200+ children for a day. We went through some mathematics and engineering concepts, like figures, balance with wheels, etc.  We also encouraged them to make observations in our daily life so as to find STEM examples.  Lastly, we requested them to make their own cars by using the trash, e.g. plastic bottles, candy boxes, etc.

Lots of laughter, joy, fun on the STEM day. And we will strive to build back ever better with the young kids!
