Almost 40% of domestic tasks could be done by robots ‘within decade’

If I'm being honest here, there are actually quite a few household chores I wouldn't mind having a robot take over. Cleaning? Yep! Laundry? Well, don't mind if you do!

In fact, some things like grocery shopping and even elder care could be performed by robots in the not to distant future. But this automation could result in a “wholesale onslaught on privacy,” as well as a leading to “a rise of inequality in free time” - with only richer households able to afford the technology.

What would you be willing to give up to offload some of your daily chores to a robot?

A revolution in artificial intelligence could slash the amount of time people spend on household chores and caring, with robots able to perform about 39% of domestic tasks within a decade, according to experts.
