Driving Blind....

In a sight loss group, I recall lots of people on their sight loss journey, missing the ability to drive. I know that for me, it has been difficult to adjust to not being able to drive. I have tried a few driving games as I really enjoy them, sadly most are not enjoyable when you are not able to trust your eyes are pace.

Microsoft have been adding more accessibility features with each Forza Motorsport release, but it has never been at a level where someone who is completely blind can enjoy the game fully.

Microsoft have announced that with the next release of Forza Motorsport the game includes features to allow a blind person to drive a car without any vision. I personally can't wait to try this out, I do love a good drive!

Accessibility doesn't stop there, several other enhancements for people with disabilities are included. Check you the full press release.

Blind Driving Assists (BDA) is a feature set that was built for players who are Blind or have Low Vision. After years of research and feedback, we have spent the last two years building the feature with direct feedback from Accessibility Consultant and Blind gamer, Brandon Cole and others from the Gaming & Disability community. Throughout our development, Brandon and other Blind and Low Vision players have been providing invaluable real-time feedback to help us create and refine the various Blind Driving Assists.
