Maine native becomes first woman to complete solo trek of American Discovery Trail

Quite the feat indeed.

I took away from this, wondering how our perspective on life, the environment, and others changes when we get out and “see”? It doesn't have to be a 2-year journey but can be just a few minutes set aside in our daily lives to view things differently or deeper.

For the past two years, Briana DeSanctis, a 40-year-old native of Farmington, Maine, has hiked across the United States. Along the way, she's learned much about herself, and even more about others.
