Some things instantly make you smile because you can feel the heart behind them. Courtsy’s Classroom is one of those rare spaces where learning feels welcoming, curiosity feels safe, and science feels exciting for everyone, no matter their age.
I know the woman behind Courtsy’s Classroom, Courtney Gold, and watching her bring this vision to life has been genuinely inspiring. Courtney has a gift for taking big scientific ideas and turning them into something approachable, playful, and truly fun. She doesn’t just teach science. She helps kids (and adults) fall in love with it.
With a background in biology and years of cardiology research, Courtney knows science inside and out. What makes her work so special, though, is that she never loses sight of the learner on the other side. She understands how kids think, how they wonder, and how they connect ideas. That understanding shines through in everything she creates, from her books and illustrations to the way she explains the world around us.
Courtsy’s Classroom isn’t about memorizing facts or chasing the right answer. It’s about asking questions. It’s about noticing how incredible our bodies are, how fascinating nature can be, and how science already shows up in our everyday lives. Courtney brings that sense of discovery into every lesson, making learning feel like an adventure rather than an assignment.
What I admire most is how inclusive her approach is. While Courtsy’s Classroom is designed with kids in mind, it naturally welcomes parents, teachers, and curious adults along for the journey. It encourages families to learn together, to talk about science around the dinner table, and to see learning as something shared and fun!
Science often gets labeled as hard or intimidating, but Courtney completely flips that idea on its head. She shows that science can be colorful, creative, and full of wonder. She reminds us that curiosity is something to nurture, not rush, and that learning should spark excitement, not pressure.
Spaces like Courtsy’s Classroom matter. They help kids build confidence. They help adults reconnect with curiosity. And they remind all of us that science isn’t just a subject in school. It’s how we understand ourselves and the world around us.
Watching Courtney do what she does best only reinforces my belief that science truly is the best. When it’s taught with heart, creativity, and passion, it has the power to inspire a lifelong love of learning. And that’s exactly what Courtsy’s Classroom does.
