Meat is a food that most of us consume in some capacity. However, with an ever growing demand it is becoming more and more impactful on our environment. Cultivated meat is a solution that is growing in popularity and with a price point which will soon be comparable to authentic meat it's leading more and more individuals to consider it as an option. Future Meat is a company looking to revolutionize food sustainability by opening a factory which can produce the equivalent of 5,000 burgers a day that are healthy, ethical and still taste delicious. Future Meat claims they produce 80% less greenhouse gas emissions and use 96% less water in comparison to traditional meat producers. Their food currently costs $3.90 for a chicken breast but that company is looking to reduce the cost by half over the next year to make their product more accessible worldwide.
Overall, this is a promising step in the right direction to a greener world. Whether the concern is price, taste or sustainability - Future Meat aims to address all of these concerns for a brighter future.
